I love to draw. It’s a form of meditation for me. I use a variety of mediums. A painters box filled with pens, inks, watercolors, charcoals, pastels, acrylics, and markers. Sometimes I use these all together or separately on their own. I work with paper, canvas, wood, glass and fabric. But I love paper. I collect it. Beautiful paper and stationary. Because, I love to write handwritten letters. I love textiles. I love design. Most of all I love color. Especially how color can stir emotions and move you in a direction that can change anything and everything in a moment. Orange and Teal can do that to me.
I’ll be using this space as a sandbox for my art.

A self-portrait

“Patience: “Nothing can be rushed. It must grow, it should grow of itself, and if the time ever comes for that work — then so much the better!” — Paul Klee, in On Modern Art, 1948.
A self-portrait

“I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it’s true I’m here, and I’m just as strange as you.” ― Frida Kahlo

“I would hardly call myself an artist in that sense; I doodle, I draw, I’m not a trained artist, I couldn’t sit down and do an accurate portrait of anyone.” – Rene Auberjonois

“Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter.” – Oscar Wilde
