Good things come in small packages… at least, that’s what they say. I recently collaborated with the kind folks at Raw Spice Bar where they supplied the ingredients and recipes and I turned it into one amazing meal. The results… good things do come in small packages.

I recently spoke with Rebecca of RawSpiceBar  about their small batch, freshly ground spice blends, created by top Chefs for home cooks. It’s a subscription based service at $6 a month where you receive a small batch of their spice of the month. These are some of the most unique spices from around the world.

With a RawSpiceBar subscription, each month you receive 3 different spice blends created either by spice experts, top chefs or tried and trusted family recipes that have been used for generations.  They search high and wide to bring you the most authentic spice blends used around the world to create dishes you otherwise wouldn’t have tried.

Here’s a taste of the Persian Spice Box which included Saffron Threads, Advieh Khoresht and Mast-O-Khiar Herbs. In the link above, you’ll also find a variety of recipes for each of these blends. I made Sabzi Polow with Dill and Saffron, Masto-O-Khiar with Rose and Mint and Braised Lamb Shanks with Advieh. The recipes were amazingly delicious, each spice blend complimented one another and the food was fantastic.
